My old band Egghead has a gig. Next Thursday. First one in 10 years. First Egghead gig, that is, not Thursday. The past decade has been littered with Thursdays. I wouldn't devote valuable blog space to such an ordinary occurance. A Thursday, that is. They're nice and all, a pleasant bridge from mid-week to weekend but not, in and of themselves, noteworthy. I would use some of that precious blog space to write about an Egghead gig, on the other hand. I am, in fact, doing just that. I would like to think that an Egghead show is closer to the "extra-ordinary" part of the continuum.

Attend. We'll be grateful.
Then we have another show:
Part of this pop punk festival being hosted by Insubordination Records. Great line up from what I hear. Again, more info at the Egghead site. (I've heard this show is sold out, which is weird because we've never played a show to which the term "sold out" was applicable. Then again I don't even know for sure who else is playing that night so there's every chance that my info isn't completely accurate. Aside from the fact that we're playing that night. Of that I am certain.)
